Tasting Notes

Orange Peel Acidity - Caramel Sweetness - Roast Peanut Finish

We are once again excited to offer this beautiful coffee from our friends in Narino, in Southern Colombia. This specialty coffee has been cupped consistently at 84 points in SCAA international standards. Aprounion currently has Colombia's cupping champion Eduardo Armero, which shows us the incredible education, training and future that this co-operative has.

MEET THE FARMER

This beautiful coffee comes from an amazing group of 273 families with an amazing story. In 2001, the Asprounion Co-operative was established. With the support of government and industry partners and the commitment of the families, Asprounion seeks real solutions to the problems of poverty, economic insecurity and drug cash crops, by producing incredible coffee, and equipping the families within the co-operative with education, training and community support.

At the Co.Lab we are especially privileged to know Maurico Velasquez, the Co-operatives international sales representative. Our friendship with Mauricio has given us a deeper understanding of the complexity of the Colombian coffee industry and we are proud to roast this coffee to represent this ground breaking co-operative.
